does your bike not have heated grips ?? i was having a discussion about gloves or grips the other day. The person I was speaking said that heated gloves were a lot better as they keep all of you hand warm rather than just the palms from grips. Having very limited experience with either i would not know.

They're right. If you're riding more than a few miles, the grips will be fine for the bottom of your hands, but the front and your fingers will still suffer. That's my experience, anyway.

My mate has heated gloves that he loves (he's got Raynaud's and it messes with his hands in good weather) . I'll find out what they are for you. I don't think they were cheap, but they work.

I have Keis heated gloves. They are absolutely amazing. They aren't waterproof though asbinhave proved this a couple of times now! But they are the single best bit of kit I have ever got, keeps you nice and snug in those minus conditions.

I think I like the flexibility of heated gloves. It means I can use them on either bike.

Do not use these!!

I have tried evweything because I have that crappy cold blood thing which is a bit of a sh%tter!! I have bought and used these and they lasted all of a motorway journey about 25 miles and didn't get that warm anyway and the battery died. I bought other batteries and same thing happened!! They are more for garden or walking the dog not for up to 70MPH worth of air blasting at you!

I have free ones from work. Seems good value to me.

Granted I've not actually plugged them in yet, but they are pretty good even without that.

Always good to get an unbiased review for heated gloves, only ever tried heated gloves on but never used on a bike, they do feel good, keeps back of the hand warm too

Heated and waterproof don't usually work well together as the act of heating the glove stops the waterproof aspect working as it opens the cells of the material. Even goretex linings on heated grips don't work together.

I have a pair of Gerbings heated gloves that I've worn in the rain and they worked great. I originally had the XR-12's which are the long gauntlet style ones but they were too long so exchanged them for the XRS-12 which are a shorter cuff and my jacket goes over them a lot better. I've had heated grips on previous bikes and they don't come anywhere close to being as good as heated gloves, a stated earlier, grips will keep your palms warm but I still found the backs of my hands getting bitterly cold, the gloves keep the backs of my hands and all fingers and thumbs toasty. They aren't too thick that you lose dexterity either and you can't feel the micro wires inside. I don't know about other brands but the heating element in the Gerbings have a lifetime guarantee. I'm considering the heated jacket liner for next winter. I don't know why I haven't bought them before now.
