I don't think it's made up IMHO. Truth will probably not come out but very strong rumour is Marquez didn't want Stoner to stand in for Pedrosa at cota as his race pace was very very fast and Marquez saw it as a threat.

Can't blame Marquez either. Your at the top of your game and a kid who retired 2 years earlier to do some fishing and chill out with his family just walks up and beats everyone doesn't look good.

Why else block Stoner request to race at Cota. HRC had to protect their current assets and interests.

Loads of people hate the way F1 drivers are nothing but corporate mouthpieces now. Bring back Hunt being stoned and womanising after a race, Senna getting out of his car to tw@ someone, Mansell arguing at interviews.

Yes they are racers but we want the whole package. Stoner being a miserable git adds to that IMO.
