Latest I've heard is roughly 140-150 dead, with many injured. Thoughts with everyone involved. Very tragic...

Things like this just reminds me that we are the bacteria on this beautiful Earth. Sickening all of it

Thoughts out to the guys caught up in it, and preys out to the men and women who have lost their lives.

Horrendous. I can't imagine how the city is this morning.

How anyone can set out to murder, let alone on this scale is beyond me. Pointless.

This morning's news reports are taking about 150 dead. Most of them in a concert, penned in and shot.

IMHO it illustrates that there is a fundamental & sickening flaw in human nature, as to enable atrocities like this to be performed.

I have every sympathy for those affected by this, but somewhere there are twisted individuals out there who firmly believe that yesterday was a hugely successful operation.

Apparently one of the suicide bombers who detonated outside the national stadium had a ticket and tried to gain entry. Security stopped him gaining entry but god knows the outcome if he had gained entry.

I bet everyone at the Lord Mayor's Parade, and that England-vs-The World match were feeling slightly "unnerved" today.

I went to the England V Rest of the World match at Old Trafford today and although it was very good apparently it was very nearly cancelled.

Security was extremely tight and rightly so in light of recent events.

Its a sick sad world we live in at times. Power and money has corrupted so much of it.

Why cannot others just live and let live? We are all different individuals, following different paths in life.

My thoughts exactly. The problem is people interfere with other people lives and some will always look at what others do rather than themselves.

I don't think there will ever be an answer to your question. Not one that makes sense anyway :(

Too many people in power, including in this country, use hate and insecurity and lack of knowledge as a way of either gaining or keeping their power and money.

So very true, although at least in this country the default is for every child to have access to a good level of un-bigoted secular education. Sadly there seems to be a growth in "Faith Schools", which truly makes me despair.
Isn't the whole ethos of Islamic ideology is based around those controls that you outlined Duke.

Faith schools are the single biggest mistake in policy over the last few years. Unbelievable we don't have one curriculum and ethos.
