Cheeky! I'm measuring across the widest point. It's kinda what I expected anyway, most likely a 190/55 renamed

Rode through some horrible traffic to get to the tyre place. Looks like people still finish early on a Friday in this part of the world.

Took some great advice from Andy and Rocket (lol)

I had fell out of love with my quickshifter as seemed a lottery if it would be a buttery smooth up shift or an experience where the gearbox was going to pop.

I took the solid advice of "Man the fook up and just be more forcefull." I did and it's perfect every shift now.

Cheers lads (y)

Rode up to Stoke to grab a few hours out on the Multi DVT demo bike.

As some may remember i had a few reservations when i rode it before as it didn't feel that fast. Since then i know Ducati have made a few changes to the mapping.

The bike was a standard ( non Semi active suspenders) version. It was only 5 weeks old but already had over 1,000 miles on it and it was dirty for which the dealer apologised but said it only arrived back from a test yesterday at closing time.

the seat was set on the low height which was a bit disappointing as it feels very low compared to mine but you do sit in this version rather than on it like mine.

Had to make a detour to start with as a major road was closed but6 eventually found my way to some of the amazing twisting roads on the Staffs/Shrops/Cheshire border.

I now realise that the bike needs revving a bit more than mine and it takes off once the variable valve timing kicks in around 6000rpm when the bike takes off like a scalded cat. Once there its certainly very quick but it happens about 1k to 1.5k further up the rev range than mine.

Due to sitting in the bike the bike turns easier than mine and is more stable once there.

Smart lcd dash with loads of info and four modes as before. Bike sounds like a Panigale but more muted. Makes a lovely induction noise as the revs build.

I was out for about 2 hours and worked the bike hard and had a huge grin all the time.

When i got back asked about a p/ex price on mine and they gave me a very decent offer for mine. Can't do anything for a few weeks due to the France trip but once I come back will have another chat with a few places. I think its the next bike for me.

Cleaned the calipers on the RSV as one of the front brakes was binding. Now sorted.

Checked the chain and sprockets, then gave them a good clean and lube. Then thought as I was there I should probably give it a good clean.

Finally, as the sun was shining it would have been rude not to give the brakes a test ;)

Buzzed around Warwickshire and The Cotswolds with a big greenie filling my mirrors. (lol)

Took the long way back through some B roads. It was a shame there were so many cars about.

Normal dickhead Monday morning service with cars switching lanes without looking. One of which was an ambulance.

Tbh I've noticed in quite a lot of cases so called professional drivers are the ones with the lowest standards.

Coach drivers are the worst imo.

I agree with you there - coach drivers are terrible, as are taxi drivers.

HGV drivers are usually pretty good though. as are Birmingham bus drivers. Both sets of drivers normally spot me and move out of the way for me.

Agree on Taxi drivers. I use them quite abit up and down try country and there is a constant theme of bad driving although in fairness some are very very good. Like most things in life I guess there's some good, some bad and some right bellends (swear)

Rode it into Triumph to get the Arrow map uploaded and the exup valve adjusted only to find it already had the Arrow map and the valve didn't need adjusting (gah)
Oiled the chain and put it away ready for Oulton on Saturday :)

Applying decals to the new paint job. In the lounge, watching TV, drinking gin.

Maybe being seperated isn't that bad (rock)

These decals are top quality. Pitty made them for me about 4 yrs ago. They are stacked vinyl to get the two tone.

If you want decals, go to Pitty, you won't be disappointed.
