Had our FIFO-Shiftworker-BlendedFamily early Christmas Day today. Last time we are altogether till next year (and Jess wasn’t working) so enjoyed a lazy wake up (teens are keen to sleep in these days) presents with coffee. Then a few hours of kitchen work for some roast pork and crackling, roast potato, pumpkin, cob corn and beans, cold ham and prawns. Late lunch followed by homemade chocolate mousse and cookies.

Few gins and ciders and now turning in!

All the kids but one disappeared to other parents today. Haydn, Jess’ young fella who is cricket mad (and plays in a local comp) was the only one with us so we took him into the Sydney Cricket Ground for a 20/20 Big Bash match. Came down to the last ball needed 5 and they got a 4, shirt by a couple of metres.

Dropped off a few presents and cards. Did some last minute shopping. This afternoon is for wrapping presents.

Went far a walk down the Thames, only a couple of hours but it was nice to have a bit of peace.

Afternoon was all the family round at my brother's house. Considering we had 6 kids from 3 families and our parents round, the level of carnage was minimal. Nice to see everyone though.

Might go out for another walk tomorrow if the weather allows.

Did a ton of grocery shopping and some Christmas shopping this afternoon.
You know the opening battle scene in Saving Private Ryan, when they're storming Omaha Beach?
...That was a lazy stroll through the park compared to Aldi today.

Lovely quiet boxing day so while the boy napped I fitted the last upgrades to my mountain bike before heading to the bike park on the 30th.

New brake discs, pads and fork

Off to Disneyland Star Wars' Galaxy's Edge, or whatever it's called.
....We're nearly there!!

Having a quiet day, eating turkey sandwiches and trying to be happy about going to work later, should be a quiet night at least.

Spent the day at my parents and my brother and family too. A rare thing

Work was crap. Nothing to do. Everyone else is on holiday.

I had the other side of that equation..

I've got shit loads to do, nobody was in so nobody phoned me.. net result I got loads done.
