As I understood it, the virus is thought to be transmitted primally by contact transfer (hence all the handwashing, gloves etc...).?

As those midges are obviously "contacting" you (hence your post complaining about them) & presumably lots of other people, it seemed entirely plausible that they would be a medium for transmission.

But hey, what would I know.. - Just as long as those midges don't catch it, I'm happy ;)

Oh, I wasn't complaining about midges...that was Kiwi who mentioned them.
Now midgets on the other hand...now there would be a legitimate gripe.

Yes, she's even found some fabric online with handprints similar to the site logo and ordered it, should be here on Monday.

No idea if insects can transfer, but even if it was plausible the virus load would be rather insignificant I’m guessing.

In my situation there is very little risk even if it was possible. I was in a quarantine facility with other work mates who like me are tested the day we arrive and the day we leave and temp checked every day. Also in the Northern Territory they have had one case in the last 6 weeks and that was an incoming US Marine that went straight into isolation.

I spent 10 of my 12 hrs at work trying to get my new company email configured on my desktop. We are running a hybrid system of half our old companies IT and half the new companies. We can access our old emails but all new emails can only be sent from our new account and emails sent to either account land in the new account only. And a similar situation on onedrive and Microsoft365.

So I spend nearly $800 on 4WD recovery gear online and researching advanced 4WD courses instead of working.

That situation is fatal isn't it, Kiwi! It's why I ended up researching car cleaning so much. I had severe laptop issues and about all I could do was go on the web.

It’s stuff I had planned to get as I’m limited to where I can safety go 4WDing without it, but yeah boredom and lack of distraction is dangerous offshore for internet spending!

The kids and Jess all enjoyed the bit of off-roading we did last break so it’s well spend I hope.
