Sounds similar to what my boxer had.

Sorry to hear about losing your friend though. Sleep easy pinot.

Isn't it so hard when our pets have to go on their last journey . I left our old collie cross way too long and vowed never to do it again...but sadly I did

Our vet made the call with our old Dane but it's something I still deal with badly ... so sorry for your huge loss

Sorry to hear this StMarks. This sounds like what my collie had too. He lived until a similar age before we had to have him out to sleep. Very hard to say good bye.

Laundry & housecleaning, and watching odds & ends on YouTube in between.
This day is going sooooo slow for some reason.

Off to a Bank holiday show. It's just down the road, never been to it before. My parents have been loads of times but for some reason or another me and my misses have never been able to attend. So we are going today with my dog!

Nice Camaro!......'72 model??

I like the Pug 205GTI, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a "classic"...?

205 GTI is defo a classic. It's a classic hot hatch. Something I do love, hot hatches. A light weight car with a more than capable engine, good handling and pretty decent looks. We won't see this again with the EU rules and all the mod cons that all the youngsters need lol

Fair enough....they're 30+ years old now, so I guess that's enough for it to qualify.

At 50+ years old, does that make me vintage, or antique??

On second thoughts, don't bother answering that.

Except many US states have stricter emissions laws than the EU. (facepalm)

They do??
I know California is pretty strict on emissions stuff, and about a dozen other states followed suit by going with CARB regs., but I don't know if they're stricter than EU standards or not??

I honestly don't think it matters too much, does it....I mean, you go to another country you sort of expect things to be different, yes....or else why go??

Being tortured!

Being without a bike on a beautiful bank holiday weekend and also being camped on a popular biking route is just not fair.

I'm getting on the blower to BMW tomorrow to get a bike sorted, one way or another.

To be fair, the car is decent. Very comfy, loaded with gadgets, and munches the miles with ease. But the traffics coming and it won't filter.

I'm thinking the R or RR as my preferred choices. The 1250 doesn't interest me, and one of the BMW dealers said that after the S1K engine it would seem a bit dull. Ideally though I'd like my bike back.

You pick whatever you like Jon but that's a very strange comment from the dealer. I've got a 200bhp vtwin which punches harder than almost everything on the road but I wouldn't call the 1250RS dull at all. I'm really surprised at that comment tbh. The engine is silky smooth for any engine format never mind a boxer twin but still punches hard and the chassis is great on the road. Very underrated bike imo. Proper wolf in sheeps clothing and I would have thought the dealer would be aware of that tbh.

Saying that if you can play on a RR for a week I would snap their hand off :P

I'm in s similar mind set to Duke at the moment it would seem. I've done 10 years plus on big v-twins and I now feel like I've done it. If it wasn't for the commute i doubt I would have got another liter bike.
