Hello guys,

Couldn't see a new members part of the forum..

Heard guys over on 675.cc talk about tankslap, so thought I'd join up.

Currently 2014 675R and Honda pcx for the commute. Previous bikes include 2002 Bandit, 2005 ER6, 2005 zx6r, 2006 zx10r and a first gen 848 (for a few weeks...).

Zx6r was a constant, had that for 50,000miles until last year.

Do occasional track days, fun riding, shortish uk tours and try and do a big euro tour every year. Always sports bikes for touring.

Hope to contribute soon

Volant

At some point Kwacky. If/when my PCX ever dies (it's like a cockroach...) I'd certainly consider a Versys for the commute. That and a road going tiger 800.

Having spent a lot of time on litre bikes, I've come round to the fact I prefer supersports. Although looking at the industry I'd say I'm in a minority! I think I only bought the zx10r as it had a 10 written on the side, not a 6.

I like being able to wring the bikes neck on the road a bit without the guilt in the pit of my stomach I get doing it on a 1000cc. Seriously, I used to come home from a ride feeling terrible!

Plus I love going round the outside of people who are as scared of their big bikes on a track day as I was of mine. Its getting harder now as more people have electronics and TC and are able to just crack the throttle. Where they might have ended up on their collar bone a few years ago!

Test rode the 636 when I bought my Daytona. Great bike, I mean that, but just didn't feel special enough I'm afraid.

As I said, I must be one of very few people who's happier on a 600. You'll know better than me, but don't think they're selling many?

I love my screaming 600s but as you say, they're not as popular now and the big litre bikes are much easier to ride with that threat of a high side much reduced.

Sort of why I like the current zx10r which I own. It's no where near as punchy as the previous Blade I had. It's more like a 600 on steroids. It needs revs and you to really work it but when that engine sinks the thing just takes off :P

Hi mate, and welcome.

I've got an aprilia RSV for the road and I love the laziness, but it's a handful on the track. I've recently picked up a 600 for the track and it's much more fun.
