Israel doesn't want to expand, it simply wants to exist. They're up against an opposition whose fundamental goal is to wipe them off the face of the planet......notwithstanding that, one of their biggest threats lies within it's own borders.

Yep, Israeli expansion is pretty obvious. They've done a good job of it so far.

There isn't a decent cohesive army left in Africa , we destroyed the Libyan forces , Egypt have been beaten by the Israeli's on at least 2 occasions , Jordan wouldn't stand a chance , all the numbers you speak of are sub Saharan and from what I understand they are too busy fighting among themselves to mount any sort of coordinated attack , they also lack the means to get to Israel in terms of transport and resources required . The only threat to Israel in the area is Iran and Saudi Arabia . I don't believe Saudi will do anything as an embargo by the west for a few months would see the country erupt into civil war . Which leaves Iran - part of the "Axis of Evil" a prime target in the next few years for US military intervention , probably because of their nuclear program .

Everything is being lined up for a clash.

If Trump launches missiles then there are bound to be Russian soldiers caught up. Putin won't sit back and allow that to go unpunished.

There's a lot of good online chatter and discussion about the chemical attacks in Syria being faked.

Pretty sure it would’ve the last one you took. :D

The Italian reputation for surrender comes from a very divided Nation in WW2, same as France was.

Not sure many would have called the Roman Centurions cowards. Nor the French resistance or Napoleonic armies.

Mussolini was a grade 1 twat with big plans and no idea how to achieve them , if I was italian I would have switched sides too . The italians in the north african campaign had marched across libya with insufficient supplies of food water and ammunition when they encountered a highly mobile well provisioned British force they were not in a fit state to do anything but surrender , there were 32,000 British and Allied troops and some 270,000 italians and colonial forces from libya , the surrender led to the phrase "Never have so many surrendered to so few ".

I'm a bit confused about the current situation in Syria , I am told that Assad has used chemical weapons against the population killing and injuring many including women and children , so in order to help the population of Syria we are going to bomb them , am I missing something as I fail to see how bombing them can do anything but kill more of them .

Mussolini was a weak, vacillating man with delusions of rebuilding a new Roman Empire with himself manning the helm.
And at the end he was a coward, as he had always been, and nothing more than that.

And while we're on about him, if you're going to build a new empire, why in the fcuk would you start with Ethiopa??
It's like invading Antarctica, or worse yet, Sunderland.....makes no sense at all.

Loser.

No money for the NHS, the police, our schools or the armed forces, but there's always a big load of cash available to bomb darkies for no reason other than to prove we're still capable of doing it.
