I helped in the R&D dept for this in 2008. They filmed me walking home after 10 pints.

You've got to sleep some time (giggle)
That robot actually looked pretty quick on the path at the end of the video.
In all seriousness though, what an awesome machine!

If we can have robots in the field of combat so no human life is taken then this will be great. Other than that what else would you want them to do?

One of the main aims for these robots is getting them to do search and rescue missions and to deal with emergencies. With some large accidents you tend to find that the first on the scene responders are those most at risk of injury.

Brilliant idea. However I don't like the idea that humans are just being replaced, we are already in a world where there's not enough jobs to go around unless having these robots will Crete more jobs for us?

Humans are cheap, robots aren't. There will always be crap jobs for people to do.

it has been documented that when a robot is utilised in a factory environment that the human labour isnt made redundant but is relocated elsewhere in the factory. They dont replace people they work alongside them

I hope so as we are going through a change to a more robotic system and at the moment we are getting a lot of problems...when the system is at full effect I'm unsure where the guys will go unless the company spends more money into fork lift drivers if scale reaches to that point

Edit: I work in a factory and have been trying to stress this information to my guys
