Europe as a whole is scorchio, it's stinking hot here and has been for about a week. 38 forecast today and my outside temp gauge says 46.8c at the moment (but it's in the sun) and 33 in the shade. I got up early as I've been chainsawing trees this morning. It got too hot by 9:30am

I'm not complaining mind.

I'm coming to the UK at the end of the week for some nice weather too . Try and keep it until the weekend at least please.

Meh, not the best day to be balancing and commissioning under floor heating in a central Manchester apartment block. On the up side I may have lost a few stone.

The Costa Del London was almost unbearable today - I've been changing a gearbox which is a 3 day job and it's hot and heavy work at any time of the year, when we knocked it on the head this afternoon at 16.30 the temp gauge in my motor said 35.5c..... Somehow I've run my battery down over the last two days and am not looking forward to going back tomorrow to finish it.

I feel your pain Deegee. Just been on a rammed packed, sweat box, allegedly called a train for 2.5 hours out of that there scorchio London place with no air con all service.

Was stuck in a Conference/Reading party thing today, sited in what used to be an old foundary with a tin roof and no aircon. Lovely

The trip home on Merseyrail was child's play by comparison.

I saw on the news people in Glasgow complaining about it being 25 deg! That's what our aircon is set to in the accommodation offshore!!!

I know it's all relative to what you are used too, I just find it hard to comprehend coming from Aussie and working in the tropics.

You are right, it is all relative. If you're used to 15 degrees then 25 will seem hot. 25 is cool if it's 32 outside.

The problem in the UK is the high humidity we get. I can handle the heat without problem. I've spent a week with the temps in the low 40s and it doesn't bother me, but 28 here is hard work.

Try working in overalls, boots, gloves and hard hat with tools and kit hanging of you in this heat its a ball Breaker. Tbh alot of the time it's cooler outside than inside where temps can be close to 50 deg C in some areas.

It was like riding/driving abroad yesterday. No matter what speed I did, the air blast was still warm.

It was Ok, until I get home and have to man handle the bike into the shed. I had to take the leathers and helmet off for that. I was melting.

When i came home yesterday at 7pm the temperature on the car dash said 33 deg C.

Coming home today at 6pm it said 14 deg C.

Still stinking hot in my little corner of the world, Blades comments re humidity and working with all the kit on is bang on, add to that the local flying bug community seem to think I am their equivalent of Chanel No5, not much fun with those little suckers crawling all over my face, neck and in my ears. I love the summer but sometimes the version of "warm weather" we get here seems to be lacking a certain something.

That's the good thing about being so far offshore Deegee, it might be freaking hot and humid but the bugs and flies can't make the 250 km trip to annoy us!

Get the odd fruit bat that stow away on the supply ships believe it or not, but they become shark food pretty quickly.

Yep agreed with Blade here. I work have skipped the gym this week bar one day because by the time I'd finished work I have been dripping wet! I wear a boiler suit, boots and gloves and work beside a massive over that bellows dust all day it with extraction that was made about 20 years ago and definitely doesn't work. What I mean by extraction is a few suction fans on the ceiling on the second floor of the building! Lol! Although not complaining prefer this than -8℃ like through winter...brrrrrrr
