Waterproof Rucksacks

Can anyone recommend a decent waterproof rucksack?

I've got a big Kriega but most days I'm only carrying my lunch and the Kriega isn't waterproof, so if it rains everything gets soaked.

I don't need anything too fancy or too large.

Heard very good things about overboard rucksacks.

Other option might be kriega dry bag on pillion seal. The new hook system makes mounting simple and quick.

I have a roll too waterproof hold-all from LOMO. Cheap as chips, made in UK and tested as being waterproof in torrential downpours for over 2 hours on the motorway.

I fancy a proper waterproof ruck sack, I have a roll bag I bought from Get geared, ace bit of kit, worked well on the euro trip and has done ever since.
I have the Knox ruck sack buts it not totally waterproof, i.e. heavy and consistent downpour.

These are the Overboard ones, Frankie. Their stuff is top kit and designed with being used on boats as the biggest test.

The Adventure versions currently have a third off.

Cheers Si they look good in terms of being waterproof, do you know what they are like on a motorbike, I ask as they look quiet high in terms of being above the harness part.

Those Adventure ones are water resistant, not proof.

I've got a Kriega water proof inner bag that goes inside the Kriega rucksack, but can't seem to find it on their website

No good for me. The outside of the Kriega gets soaked then sits all day at work. The front chest section seems to take the brunt of the water. Hence me needing a waterproof rucksack.

I always thought that. I had one come free with my 800XC and it's actually really handy. I'm not overly keen on backpacks anyway, just something else to help your spine get bent up in an off.

I would rather have a top box than lug a rucksack if it was me. I think its a good idea. Keeps stuff better protected, less crumbled and as Tony says less to worry about if you have an off.

I have thought about a top box but that's further down the line. The good ones aren't cheap.

I'll need a rucksack as I'll still be using the zx6r as well.

Only a suggestion. But what about a waterproof tailpack some of them are very quick and easy to mount / dismount.

Another suggestion.

Kriega tank strap. You can then quickly fit a us5/10/20 dry bag in seconds. And easy to transfer to the zx6r.
