Bar ends from Puig arrived today.

I'm looking at reat sets. I think I might get some of the Valter Moto 1.5s. I don't need full race rearsets. I know loads of people use Chinese rearsets without issue, but given the amount of time I spend on the SX i want a brand I know and can rely on. Plus there's support in place if I have any issues.

The SX is coming up to 3 years old. I didn't realise it was coming round so soon. I need to get an MOT before the 13th of this month.

What's a reat set, is it somat from Yorkshire?

It's a nice pair of top bollox.

I was going to keep the zx6r and part ex the sx but that plan went out of the window, so it's another bike now and keep the SX for longer.

Yep, valve check plus all the usual service bits kwak like to throw at you.

Good customer service from Kawasaki. No wonder Sykes and Rea are always smiling.

The bike has gone in for its combined 3 year and 30,000 mike service, which won't be cheap. I'll find out how the bike is doing.

They've offered me the new 2017 model for a day. Problem is i won't get much for mine seeing how high the mileage is.

I assume they check the valve clearances etc?

Is it worth a trade in quote or is it just a case of running the SX into the big big miles?

Does it feel worn or still fresh?

The bike feels spot on to be honest. It's all working great. It doesn't feel tired. I guess it depends what the offer is. I can afford to take a bike on if I want to. It's whether I want a new bike and pay for that or if I want to spend the money on the upkeep of the current one. I want to upgrade the suspension and the paintwork has stone chips on it, as well as the wheels having marks from the security chains.

I'll probably keep the current one and spruce it up as I go along, unless they offer me an amazing deal on a new one.

They're doing the valve clearances and all that. They don't expect any issues but they won't know until they've got the lid off.

I had a call in from the dealers. My heart sank I thought there was a problem

Turns out that the rear seat lock has seized. Do I want them to sort it out? Half an hour labour. Sure, go for it.
