It would have been his 30th birthday today. I was there at Brands when he died. Such a tragic accident and loss of talent, he would have gone far.

A naturally gifted rider, and a tragic loss to the sport and life...
Watching the way that he threw that bike into corners, drifting the rear, and then was airborn the next minute was impressive to watch. What made it extra special was knowing the bike turned up at the start of the season with and ignition key and full electrics.. Basically the same bike that I owned and used on the road..

I was there the day he was killed too. Very entertaining rider and a big loss to the sport.
