Re: Road-going Honda RCV unveiled
I suspect Honda were caught with their pants down by all the other manufacturers showing special sportsbikes.

It's still a concept bike, isn't it? No ideas on spec, numbers, price.

Price now rumoured to be above £160,000 and numbers rumoured to be 213 but nothing confirmed and is currently a prototype to gauge interest.

Reminds me of the look of the old RD500 and the old Honda Britain 750's tbh.

It's the just way it looks - there's something there that has an echo of several bikes but those two are what came to mind. Well that's what the nurse with the drugs trolley said anyway.

I don't think that paint scheme does it any favors.

The paint job looks like its been knocked up by a group of primary school kids using photos of Freddie Spencer's racebike.
The original looks cool, the RCV version looks crap. It juts doesn't suit the RCV shape.

I believe it was a one off paint scheme for the show.
The black carbon faired bike was the test mule and was flown back to Japan the same evening the show opened its rumoured as needed to continue development.

Re: Road-going Honda RCV unveiled
I would imagine so Duke as it would be too expensive to develop a completely different engine for a limited edition machine and would also loose the RCV connection if a different engine.
