Yeah exactly.. he took me to my first trackday too and was keen to get me racing with him in an Endurance team but sadly, on that very trackday he crashed at 120mph on the kink at Pembrey and hasn't been the same since - he was in hospital for a few days with head injuries and has since fainted multiple times from little things like knocking his head on a door fame when getting out of the car. He hasn't ridden a bike since then.

Definitely handy, he taught me so much about working on bikes etc.

What do you call it?

Me and Perkles know a lad who did exactly the same thing, same track, same place, same injuries and treatment, same issues since. Gareth hasn't ridden since.

I did shop around but Blade was closer.

Mike offered the same for £400 but without a courtesy bike which B'ham Kwak have supplied.

To be honest I want a Kawasaki dealership to do the work on this bike as I bought it from them and it was an ex demo so any issues can be dealt with.

And to be fair to them they did me a really good deal on the last service when there was an issue with the rear wheel assembly.
For the work your having done at a main dealers that is very good Kwacky. Which chain and sprockets did you opt for in the end ?

Look forward to the KTM review.

ZZR1400 time machine would make for a short commute time (lol)

It sucks.. he saved the highside then went onto the grass and the tankslapper took him off. I wasn't watching at the time as I was about to get out on track but apparently he backwards rolled multiple times, got straight back up then fell to the ground.. he only remembers his gearbox dropping a gear which caused the slide to start then waking up in hospital

Blade I left it to Kwak to decide on the chain and sprockets. The mechanic told me that the OEM stuff on the SX is very good so I might end up with that.

Just check the 10 has valves checked at 15k.

Surprised the high reving 600 has nearly double the mileage before the check but it's there in black and white.

Quickshifters are the future (rock) well they have been for a while a guess but I'm slow to catch on (giggle)

Very pleased with the install and very smooth shifts. No popping or banging just smooth, slick gear changes.

Does what it says in the blurb and I'm a happy chappy (y)

get back out there and try HARDER

Bleed the front brakes on the 10 and going by the lever I'm going over the handle bars when i touch nice and stiff just how i like it.

I'll let you give me a few pointers on how to ride her properly (y)

Regards the brakes my lever is nice and stiff but I don't think the brakes are particularly good on the Ten IMO. What do you reckon Perkles ?

I ve cleaned and service the calipers and bled the fluid all with zero improvement. It stops OK but lack any feel but this maybe because my bike
has the optional ABS I don't know.

I might try a different pad which has a better initial bite.

what pads you running?

I don't like the feel from rubber hoses.

I think they are ok but haven't had it on track to really test them, they are nowhere near as good as the brembos on my old rc8.They were stunning brakes even with standard pads fluid and lines

I wasn't that impressed with the RC8 brakes. Not enough grab for me.

The SX felt tiny after riding the KTM. I definitely prefer the green meanie

OEM pads which don't actually need changing but thinking of Bendix MRR or SBS Race Sinter as an upgrade.

I like the bite from the Bendix. I'm running them on both bikes.

I would change the hoses first ,I don't think there's a lot wrong with Oem pads
