Planned, booked and paid for a go karting seshion with my partner, partners brother and a friend. I selected a ultimate lap thing on a 900m track with team sport I think their called. 40MPH karts. 18 people racing for around 50 mins.
All for 40quid per person.
Did this at Slough one time and it was brilliant got so much track time it was unreal! Think there was 50quid.
Think I will record it in go pro and make a little video!

Take body armour mate, remember I broke ribs carting earlier this year, and Stu675 didn't take that advice a couple of months ago, but wished he had.!Rossgo wrote:Planned, booked and paid for a go karting seshion with my partner, partners brother and a friend. ......

Washed and hoovered the car. The full wax and gloss protection treatment I did last week paid dividends as it cleans up so much easier now and looks amazing too. Well worth the elbow grease.

I've slowly blocked all political posts on Fb over the weekend. Terrorists certainly doing a good job of feeding fear and hatred amongst the West.

That's the aim, the old divide and conquer. Spread fear and hatred and you're half way there to winning.

Today is trying to get information about what time my Mum is going to theatre to get her hip sorted. Despite squillions being spent on a failing hospital it seems they're still rubbish at some things. I'll end up having to go there and front someone up eventually.

Fwiw I'm pretty sure that's their intention, and it seems that many are playing straight into their hands.duke63 wrote:....... Terrorists certainly doing a good job of feeding fear and hatred amongst the West.
The backlash from endemic populations against anyone "else" will hugely increase the division & disenfranchisement of even larger numbers. This gives them an exponentially increasing source of manpower, & makes their radicalisation even easier.
We may be up against a medieval ideology, but as I have pointed out numerous times before, IMHO they are being directed by some pretty smart tactical attitude.

I hope your mum is as comfortable as can be expected in the circumstances Deegee, and that she gets the best care possible.
Stay strong mate.

I had to do that with my father in law. Too many departments involved and not speaking to each other seemed to be the main problem.Deegee wrote:Today is trying to get information about what time my Mum is going to theatre to get her hip sorted. Re: What are you doing today ??
It's just frustrating, she's in her 80's, not fully focused due to the pain meds, and I've already had to fight her corner with two out of three "Doctors", due to their wanting to carry out a repair rather than a full replacement (which she was due for anyway), fortunately the Consultant saw it my way so he was on side from the off - apparently it's bad form to call a doctor a "bodger" in a hospital, even if they fit the description. I really hate the "you should be grateful for what we deign to give you" mentality some of them seem to have.
I'm not even going to give the details on the doctor I demanded off my case last time I was there, she appeared then disappeared very quickly this time. Grrr.
