Well it looks like the Z900 has dropped out of my possibles.

Which leaves a space, currently being filled by the 2017 Fireblade, but that's just on looks and spec alone. A couple of years ago I wanted a Tracer until I rode one.

Not a bad shout. I'll put it down as a wildcard.

Going back to your original post, a 600 isn't really suited to the roads... I'd much prefer a super-naked with the torque to 'aggressively cruise' around the roads..

For me it'd be a toss up between the Aprilia Tuono, KTM Super Duke 1290R and maybe the S1000R. Thing with the BMW is that is does not excite me in the slightest.

Out the box thinking would have me pointing towards a BMW RnineT thingy majig.

I'm not a fan of twin cylinder engines.

I used to like the Speed Triple but having not ridden one and seeing how things have changed in the biking world it's a bit of a turd IMO...

If they could add another 40bhp and make it not look so bloated that'd be great!

£8k for a brand new zx6r is tempting

£1149 DEPOSIT CONTRIBUTION
What does that part mean?

It means that the dealer says they are paying your deposit. The bike is listed at £9,149 and you pay £8,000.

£8k isn't uncommon for a brand new ZX6R so I wouldn't be rushing into it...

If that's what you're looking to spend then I would definitely look on the used market - you'll get a lot of bike for that !!

Cheapest I've seen the KRT brand new on the road is £8,700.

There are used 2016 zx6rs going for more than £8k.

But I'm in no rush so I'm happy to wait to see if there are further deals in the new year.

Kawasaki Direct will be doing some deals later this year, currently it's £8799 on 0% for the KRT. I've not see one advertised for less that 8.5k and I've looked, a lot!

I suppose I was looking a year or 2 ago now but still, the bike is unchanged besides paintwork..

My local dealer had them in for £7990 on 0%. Only in white though which was the downside
