I'm on my jack jones today so I think I'll go for a wander and harass some people around the office.

Had a day off today, and picked MiL & FiL up from Southampton Cruise Terminal, made a risotto for dinner and have been helping mini gee put a Revell ME109 kit together this evening, a bit of a trip down memory lane for me as I must have done a large portion of Airfix's catalogue back when I was a kid.

Taking the car up BMW for a service and enjoying there fresh coffee and snacks with a good book. A rare 90 minutes of peace.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Today I'm sat in the office looking out the window at the lovely countryside covered in scattered mist as if it is a desaturated photo. All the while I'm sipping water from an Evian bottle with a broken lid and contemplating which great feat I should conquer next; to listen to an Audiobook or to look at bike parts.
Oh wait, I can do both !!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well I found out the helmet I use most of the time was 3 years old yesterday!
I'd love a Red/Green/White Shoei NXR Mystify helmet but I can't afford it. I also need gloves as there is a hole in the thumb (these gloves are over 4 years old). After White/Black Alpinestars GP Pro
As for parts for the bike I want to get the brakes and suspension sorted and certain parts replaced and upgraded:
Brake Discs
Brake Pads
Caliper service
Fork oil/spring replaced
Shock serviced and revalved
Track Fairings
Steering damper revalved

I won't be buying any gear this winter though, simply not enough funds for that with MOT for the car this month, 4 new tyres, bike insurance in January and everything else

Don't skimp on consumables like bearings Cav. No point throwing money at suspension if swing arm bearings, linkages, wheel bearings are shot.
Cheap enough and easy enough to do yourself at home if you don't mind getting your hands dirty.

I'm planning on doing that too although it comes to around £90 for all the bearings... erghBlade wrote:Don't skimp on consumables like bearings Cav. No point throwing money at suspension if swing arm bearings, linkages, wheel bearings are shot.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I've seen the mystify in the colour you like for 280 in the UK which I think is 200 off the RRP.
If you want that specific colour scheme might be worth checking but I think it's been discontinued so might be worth moving quickly if you have to have that specific colour scheme. Might be some good deals at the NEC show.
