Farage has already admitted it was wrong to say that the money we send to the EU will go to the NHS
What a surprise, he lied.

Re: In, out or shake it all about?
usual panic and pandemonium when things change , however NOTHING has changed , we have said we would no longer like to be a member of the EU but that could take years to arrange , or the referendum could be completely ignored as the GRexit vote was ignored in Greece , just because the masses have spoken doesn't mean the elites will listen or act .

You can laugh and joke about the outcome as much as you like.

Re: In, out or shake it all about?
Did he actually say specifically the 350 million a week would be ploughed into the NHS or is it spin ?Kwacky wrote:Farage has already admitted it was wrong to say that the money we send to the EU will go to the NHS

Genuine question. My understanding was it was stated as a suggestion to give an idea of the scale of money we were paying into the EU not a specific policy.

Nigel Farage has admitted that it was a "mistake" to promise that £350million a week would be spent on the NHS if the UK backed a Brexit vote.

Re: In, out or shake it all about?
Taken from the vote leave website
Over the past decade Britain paid over £150 billion to the EU budget. We send about £350 million to Brussels every week. This is about half the English schools budget, four times the Scottish schools budget, four times the science budget, and about 60 times what we spend on the NHS cancer drugs fund.
If we vote to ‘remain’, it is a vote for the permanent payment to Brussels of all this money. It will get worse. UK taxpayers will be paying for the huge bills caused by the euro’s crisis. All this money could be better spent on the NHS, schools, and fundamental science research.

I saw that on GMTV this morning and I was surprised Farage said it was a mistake as I honestly didn't think that comment was said as literally as some people are spinning it.Kwacky wrote:It was on the side of the Leave battle bus

It's the media in my opinion mate. We talked about this at work. People have spun it around...why do the media want to make people angry? It was clearly meant for the money to go on other things not just NHS. He has done nothing wrong in my opinion in this situation.Blade wrote:I saw that on GMTV this morning and I was surprised Farage said it was a mistake as I honestly didn't think that comment was said as literally as some people are spinning it.Kwacky wrote:It was on the side of the Leave battle bus

Re: In, out or shake it all about?
I honestly don't know Kwacky but in fairness he did say in that GMTV video before he said it was a mistake that he hadn't said it so maybe he was commenting for others.
People have claimed it was written on the campaign bus but I think there seeing what they want to see.

Morgan Stanley looks to move 2,000 London staff

BBC business reporter Joe Lynam reports...
Sources within Morgan Stanley say it has already begun the process of moving about 2,000 of its London-based investment banking staff to Dublin or Frankfurt. And it has a taskforce in place.
The jobs which would be moved from the UK would be in euro clearing but also other investment banking functions and senior management.
The American investment bank needs to avail of the passporting system which allows banks to offer financial services in all countries in the EU without having to establish a permanent base in that member state.
The president of Morgan Stanley, Colm Kelleher, told Bloomberg two days ago that Brexit would be “the most consequential thing that we’ve ever seen since the war”.
