So ignoring me being a complete numpty, I don't like the look of the Tuono. So 2 or 4 cylinders (and knowing my luck with engines, it'll soon be a V twin) I won't be putting one on the shopping list.

Would one bike do everything be an option ? Or do your prefer 2 bikes ?

Only ask as I think the S1000R you suggest could do both roles very well or what about an S1000XR ? Watched a review on the XR and it was going past R1's in the fast group on a trackday :P

I need two bikes. I commute every day so I have to ensure there is always one bike available. I know that the second bike will spend a lot of time doing nothing but I've had a second bike for about 80% of my biking history and it's always been useful.

The XR is a nice piece of kit. If I keep the zx6r then something like the XR, the zzr or the Versys 1000 could be an option.

I really don#t know which way I'll go to be honest. I'll have a proper think in Autumn when the demo bikes are easy to get hold of and dealers are keen to do an end of season sale.

Sounds like a good plan and test rides could make the decision for you (happy)

Any update on the zx6r ?

I haven't asked about the ZX6R. I've lost interest at present. I'll worry about it after France.

I quite liked the one I had for a week last year.

I wouldn't have one if it was my only bike. But for commuting it seems to tick the boxes. I'll still be having a sports bike or a naked sports for weekend and summer fun.

There's the 1000cc version as well. I think I'll take one of those out for a test ride.

It's all up in the air at present. I don't think I'll make a decision until Autumn. I might keep the SX and throw the zx6r in the canal.
