What do you expect Kwacky it was 24 degrees yesterday (someone told me), we only have 1 day that's really nice...you missed it!!Kwacky wrote:Typical.
I've been wearing my Rukka trousers for the commute to work. Weather was supposed to be hot and dry today, so I've put my leather jeans on.
Forecast says it's going to rain this afternoon
What did you do to your bike today ??

I was stood outside in the sun yesterday evening, in my full biking gear. I think that's the reason why I decided to ditch the textile trousers today.

Fitted the new levers and filler cap.
Also spent half an hour searching for the cable adjusters I appear to have misplaced. To no avail, sadly!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Mods done this week/last week...
Oberon Streetfighter Bar-End Mirrors.
Mirror stem blanking plugs from SP Engineering.
Strada 7 shorty levers.
Accossato (I think?) fuel filler cap.
Pro Bolt cable adjuster.
All fitted fairly easily, apart from the bloody cable adjuster.
Bought 2. Which was 1 more than I needed.
But screwing it in took all the sodding surface finish off!!! So I tried the other one and held in the clicky bracket thing (good technical speak!) which marked the first one.
Success so far, let's connect the clutch cable back up...
Oh, wait, I can't. The adjuster is slightly different to the OEM one.
Had to take the clutch lever off to get the cable back in.
Still, that's most of the stuff done for the top of the bike.
Unless I find a Rizoma cylinder on the cheap!

I was disappointed at first that the bolts weren't black, but now it's on I'm slightly happier.
One thing I have noticed is that now the front end has been "blacked up", the speedo surround sticks out like a dog's weiner.
So that may get some attention in the near future.

I already know, sadly!
I've seen a nice rizoma one but they're like 55 quid and then something ridiculous like 20-30 quid for postage.
Choices choices...

Looking good itchy
I think the silver bolts look good against the rest of the black.

Managed to put 18 litres of fuel in this morning. I missed when the fuel warning light came on so I've no idea how long I was on reserve for.

It's a 19l tank. The petrol gauge starts flashing at around 150 - 160 miles. Average mpg is about 45.
I had the current MPG reading on today. Highest mpg was 78.5
Lowest was 11.4
