Yeah kinda. It’s almost the size of my 3x3 but obviously a bit simpler. I bought it thinking “I’m a cube wizz now I’ll just work this one out”

Yeah... nah. Could easy get one side and layer, which is half the cube, but 2 days of trying and I couldn’t intuitively work out the rest. So bit the bullet and googled the algorithms. Only needed to learn two. One I already knew from the 3x3 so only actually had to learn a 10 move algorithm and I was solving it easy.

It looks harder than a regular cube.....less pieces, less options sorta thing. That center row/block seems like it lets you get away with a lot on a normal cube.

Nah, heaps easier once you know what you are doing. Far less combinations in scrambles. 3x3 is solved in 6-7 stages for a beginner/intermediate, but I’m doing the 2x2 in 3 stages. My best time on the 3x3 is 56 sec, yet within 2 days I’m doing this one sub 40 secs already.

I've set up a temperate river Scape. I'm trying to work out which fish to put in it.

The guppy tank is established and the plants are flourishing.

It would appear that one of the sunset platys was pregnant and we now have a number of summing orange dots.

I have them in all of my tanks. They're good for helping out with algae and detritus. They're also a good indicator to what's going on in the aquarium. If you get a population explosion then there's too much food for them. My blackwater tanks are full of rotting botanicals so there's always loads of snails.

I like flying my drone. Here's a couple of pictures I took today of two local churches.

Last 2 additions to the tank. I fancied something a little larger.

Tank life is funny, added these two and immediately the platy's and guppies grouped together to check out the newcomers. Four hours in and things are returning to normal.Image

A bit of a sad day. Both of my female guppies were dead this morning. All of the other fish are fine.. Water parameters are unchanged. There's no signs of damage or infection.

There are a lot of guppy fry in the tank. I can't work out if they both gave birth or just one of them. Birthing and/or attacks from the two males could be to blame. Maybe they were stressed out.
