DAY 5

475 km of pure shit!!! I had to cut my intended route short as it rained the whole way and at the 2 hr mark an almighty storm front hit and I rode in the worst conditions of my life. The bike was getting throwing about from wind like a bloody 125 and at one stage it took me an hr to travel 30 km cause I had to stop three times and take refuge as it was just too dangerous to ride in. My wet weather gear lost the fight at about 3.5 hr mark and I was saturated thru for the last 3 hrs.

But got to the motel, showered and Ed turned up so we heading out for a feed and some handles so the day wasn't a total loss.
Weather today looks ok. Ed's taking my hard luggage in his car and I'm taking the long way to his house, this ride should make up for yesterday's utter crap!

DAY 6

I would do 10 of yesterday to get another day like today. It was what biking is all about. My only regret is the camera mount snapped 10 min into the ride and I didn't get any footage!!

I covered 260 km in 2 hrs. For 80km I didn't encounter any traffic on my side of the road. My mate Ed had taken the hard luggage so the bike was clean and in Sport mode. I'm not exaggerating, it was freaking magic.

I've sorted out the camera mount....

Tomorrow I'm going to do another clean run to visit some people that fostered me for a year when I was 15, and travelling a good road, so hopefully I'll get some decent footage

Today was magic weather, only really had that one crap day so far, but it was pretty bad so I reckon I'm due fine weather for the rest of the time!

Great ride today, will update a bit later.
