Insurance renewal came yesterday. £250 fully comp including legal and leather + lid cover. Still amazes me that it's cheaper insuring a custom bike over a modified bike (cool)

Re: Mr Postman
Bikesure, have a look in dealers and steelers sure there is a discount offer in there.
I was really impressed that they actually spent the time to find the best possible easy of insuring my bike, not just looking at a list on a computer screen.

My large microfiber towel for the Exmoor trip in a couple of weeks. It's massive but folds up so small, great for the trip

Some PPI forms to fill in. I'm not sure if I've ever had it but a company will do the work and they'll only take a cut if they recover any money.

Re: Mr Postman
Bit better I suppose. You're a lawyer, couldn't someone do you some legal sounding letters on headed paper from your firm? Save you some money.

After a bit of swearing I stuck a terminal driver down the end and squirted some ptfe up it. Then after more swearing I used some hair spray to get the new ones on.Kwacky wrote:I found it easier to cut the old ones off then put the new ones in very hot water.

I would get the sack if I did that. I'm not allowed to pretend that the firm I work for is acting on my behalf.TonyB wrote:Bit better I suppose. You're a lawyer, couldn't someone do you some legal sounding letters on headed paper from your firm? Save you some money.
That and I'm too lazy to do it myself. The way I see it is that I'm getting 75% of the money I don't currently have (if I get anything).
These firms are only in it for the money and they only get paid if they get a return, so they're more likely to push the banks.
