I can't afford £250 for a pair of mirrors at the moment. Last month killed me.

Me and MSR aren't friends at the moment. I ordered a brake fluid reservoir and paid for next day delivery. They sent it second class and I'm still waiting. No apology, just a refund for the postage.

Did I read that correctly.. £127 per mirror, and you need to purchase adapters separately?? (shocked)

For that kind of money I'd want then to wank me off every time I looked at them (giggle)

I gave the painter a prod. He forgot to tell me he was on another holiday. These guys really do live in another time zone.

Anyway, all being well, everything should be ready for when I'm back off holiday.

Who knows, I may get to ride this thing before the first snow of winter.

Tank and cowl are done. No idea when I'll be able to collect them. Probably not until next weekend.

When you get the tank and cowl fitted plus the mirrors is that the bike finished ?

Kind of. That's most of the surface stuff done. A few more nuts and bolts need to be swapped over.

The suspension is next, not sure which way I'm going with that.

A decat pipe and PC is another idea. As is a set of treated headers. A lot depends on time and money but it's a long term project. I don't intend to get rid of the zx6r. The sx is the working tool so that's the one I'll trade for my next bike

let k-tech revalve the front forks and a nice ohlins shock on the back would transform the bike

That sounds the buisness to me (lol) had an ohlins rear shock on my zx6r and it transformed the bike.

Kawasaki have a good rep for forks and a terrible rep for rear shocks.

Black Widow are doing a straight through stainless steel de-cat exhaust for very reasonable money.
