He's younger than us, he has the luxury of time on his side (giggle)

I must admit my Shark Vision R was great yesterday. Never thought the venting was that great but my head never felt like it overheated. Where Jess in the AGV K5 said she had a boiling hot patch above her forehead.

Though I guess 40+ temps aren't really going to be a consideration for young Rossgo (rain)

this thread is great!! Yes I do need to hurry up now!! Today I'm off to a bike shop with my partners brother to pick up his bike so I may take a look in their accessory store while he signs whatever he has to sign and see what lids they have there and if they have what I want then I'll see if I can be cheeky and get a discount because I'm With someone buying a bike lol!!

I tend to not rush things but I am aware January is fast finishing and therefore any deals that are about won't be there for much longer!!

Done

Went off to Pro Bike Newbury and ordered up a RPHA11 with Darter paint scheme. He said the price was £350 I gave him a look and he said I can price match...I said OK and showed him the eBay ad..he ordered it up and said no worries I can do this!! He said it will be with him in a couple of days but I can't pick it up until next weekend as it's a trek to get there!

Feeling very happy now

Good that they matched the price. A lot of retailers will do this now with prices being lower online. It's always worth asking.

I went to try on the helmets I posted up the page a bit.

The Nexx XG100 was not comfortable, it would have been better if my ears were an inch lower because no matter how much I tried, I could not get them to stop folding over at the top, and I have small ears. The best fitting was the Bell Bullit, the large aperture was great but I think I'd use it without the spazzy bubble visor. I don't think it'd be much good in any other weather apart from when it's dry because the visor does not seal very well at all, although very nice fit (for me), very nice and rich paint finish (gold hand-painted pin-striping on the 'RSD mojo white' colour scheme), and the interior is quite luxurious. 5 year warranty too.

I will just add I tried on a few Shark lids....WOW WOW WOW what a lovely fit straight from the off I had a good convo with the salesman and he said he had always been a Shoei man until the Shark Rep came in and said here's one try it and the salesman is a convert now!! Problem I had with the Sharks is the visor I don't like how small the tab is and I also didn't like the vents, if it was just a summer helmet then yes I'd love to buy one of those quiet happily. Felt so good!! Maybe in 5 years time I'll pick one of those up the price put me off it was a clear 100quid more minium forna lower model or 200quid for the Race Pro R more than that model! A little too much for the moment!

I struggled going from a Shoei to a Shark with the different tabs on the visor. After about a week I was used to it.

It becomes a non-issue.

The searing headache after 40 mins of riding however, that was another story.
