Manchester bike show

Post by Binno »

I went this weekend. Ive not been anywhere near bike stuff really since the kids arriving , so I relished the idea of having a look a around.

17 quid to get in. a queue right round the car park to reach the one man on the door taking tickets. I tolerated that. it was a nice day at least.

the bike stands were just local shops with a few bikes to sit on. a few ladies in lycra. I tolerated that. I'm on a dry spell.

half of event city was given over to local bike clubs trying to attract new members. with cup cakes. you could look around their bikes. which were less exiting than the ones in the car park. I tolerated that.

as I walked round there seemed to be a charity asking me for change every 20 yards. I'm not anti charity. but I went there for bike porn. after the first few cleared my pockets of all my change.....one of them told me That the only way to save very poorly children was for me to give him money. 'I've no change left......the others took it all! ' I pleaded.
' I take cards ' came the reply.

I didn't tolerate that. off home.

biking got very twee. why.
