1,000 miles clocked up already. They certainly have a lot more grip in these conditions than the Z8s. They're excellent in the cold.

Rock solid in the wet this morning. Even over a couple of diesel patches all I got was a small slide, they soon found their grip again without biting, like some tyres can when they slip and then grip.

Not sure if it's the cold and crappy roads or just me, but I'm not really bonding with this tyres. There's nothing I can really point at and say I don't like, they're just a bit "meh". It's like they're the Honda of the tyre world.

It'll be interesting to see how they do on Track at the end of April.

They've got loads of grip left on them so they won't be changed any time soon. If I needed new tyres now I would go back to the Z8s which seem to be a bit sportier than these.

It's been dryer lately. How you finding them?

I don't mind the less sporty/sharper profile. I find it helps with slow manouvering and extending the life. Also, it's been so long soince I had a ride for actual fun rather than getting to work.

I am tempted to get a sportier tyre as it gets closer to nice weather though, and then when worn out go back to a touring tyre.

Dunlop's Sportsmart was always my tyre of choice. You can only get the Sportsmart2 these days and I never actually used it but that would be the tyre I'd be trying next.

Either that or turn your commute into a race and fit the D212s

On my 5th or 6th set and depending how you ride not bad mileage.

I'm the same as you D6. They're ok for winter but I don't want them for those times I'm doing more than riding to and from work. They're a bit too neutral for my tastes.

Z8s or M7rr for me next.

I can't see the Corsa or the Sportsmart being suited or lasting long for commuting.

Just ordered an M7RR rear for £117.90 from Tyreleader. Not a bad price, couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else.

Don't you find both the front and rear square off really quickly?

No not even when I've toured on them and banged in lots of motorway miles getting to the twisties tbh.

The rear is dual compound.

What have you been using on the Multi Duke? I'm due to get a new set shortly, the Multi came with an Angel GT on the front and a Pilot Road 4 on the back. The Angel has a fair bit left in it but the PR4 is nearly shot. I was thinking of the Roadtec's but after reading the comments on this thread don't think they will suit the conditions and my riding over here. I had no issues with the Angel GT's in NZ on the Pikes Peak so might go that way.

Its currently still on the original Scorpions. On the previous Multi i tried Angel GTs and the PR4s. I didn't like the PR4s, they seem an odd profile to me and didn't inspire confidence but wear very well and were great in the wet.

The Angel GTs gave me loads of confidence and wear well, just didn't last quite as long as the PR4s. If i don't go Sportmaxs i will probably stick to the Angel GTs. The rear Angel has a Multi specific fitment.

Is that the A & D spec thing? I just read about that yesterday on ducati.ms If I got it right we need the D spec on the Multi?

I don't like the feel of the PR4 as much as I did the Angel GT, exactly what you said, can't pin point anything but just not as much confidence in it. I'll definitely go the GT's I think. Will just have to have a good look at the front when I get home and decide if I just throw a back one on.

Cheers mate, did a fair bit of reading on the matter last night as I had a very quiet shift. Got an email back from the local Ducati garage and he's happy to get them in for me.

In my reading I did come across that the pressures should be 36/36 front and back and 42/42 when loaded. I've been running 34/38 or 34/40 with Jess as those are the pressures I was recommended when I hired the Pikes Peak. What do you run? Seems a bit scary to have 42 in the front!

I usually run with 34/36. No issues so far though i dont carry a pillion.

I used to run 33/36 on the road so pretty much the same, worked lovely for me. On a very hot/fast day I'd drop the rear down a bit more

I was asking Duke as he rides a Multi as well, and Ducati state 36/36 for the Multi and 42/42 when loaded. Like yourself I've always run the front lower than the rear and found it strange.
