Number crunching. Trying to work out how much more expensive the claims are I'm dealing with following a change in the discount rates.

Booked a holiday to Mexico for 10 days next year. Been thinking about it all for quite some time and took a look for different hotels. It's for mine and my partners 10 year anniversary so it's a special one. Already looking forward to it!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Thanks fellas. It's in Cancun, which I realise is a very touristy area but we've gone for a nice hotel and the city is there which is good for us as we do tend to like the hussle and bustle. We have toyed with a few ideas and we actually found a lovely hotel on the coast miles away from anywhere and was voted best adult only hotel by Forbes magazine but we decided against this because it was in the middle of nowhere and although it may of ticked almost all boxes it sent a question mark over the question will we get bord!! We love an evening stroll along the coast but a walk into town can't be beaten!!

Are you staying at the Moon Palace by any chance Rossgo?
Your description sounds like it maybe. We stayed there and it was amazing.
Regards getting board don't worry loads to do in resort and Free bus every hour into city and you can use their sister hotels all inclusive facilities when in town also. So free booze and food in town before you hit the club's. But eas quite a good Night Club at the hotel tbh.

Re: What are you doing today ??
The hotel we are staying at is called
Hotel - Hideaway at Royalton Riviera
It looks fantastic and we looked at loads of reviews which seemed to vary but on little things which doesn't bother us to be honest, although it does surprise me how many people comment on alcohol, we seemed to see loads of people saying the staff are excellent and if you tell them what drink you like they will create loads different variants with it!! both me and my partner aren't much for drinking anymore! We aren't much of the clubbers type but we do like a good mooch and we love getting away on trips to see outside the area we stay in. We don't like just staying at the hotel so this seems great for us, it takes 30- 45 mins to get into the city from our hotel so personally think it's a good comprise between very busy and far too quiet
Really looking forward to it to be honest

The lady across the road from me knew I was at the Shell Refinery and it was all over the news about it closing down. I'd been working offshore for over a year and during one of my 5 week breaks i was in the garden out the front, and she came over and starting telling me how sad it was that I was still out of work

Re: What are you doing today ??
I have a busy day of squeezing my uni work into what little spare time I get. That and hating the design work I'm doing at the minute. I get part way through something then realise it doesn't work so change the design. Do that a few times then revisit the paper and pen method until I get it right - then I model it and realise it's still wrong. Far too much going on in my head to be working properly currently.
Football training tonight.. lets hope they don't all give me sh!t for kicking off during the match on Saturday - oh and I took a stamp to the back of the knee so I currently look like I have the legs of an 80 year old that fell down 7 flights of stairs
Booked another house viewing so took tomorrow off work.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Pushing my wife to take the job she's been offered. It's with the same company but full time, at another office and more responsibility. She's worrying too much about letting he work colleagues down at her current office if she leaves as well as working full time so not being there for everything the kids do. I've told her to stop worrying about others and to put herself first. She's not one for making snap decisions.

It's not too bad the majority of the time but when you get 5 assignments due in all within 2 weeks of eachother, it starts to get manic. I started the assignments as soon as I could and I'm still struggling.
Full time at work plus doing 120 credits (full time year is 160 credits) is not easy
