I've not read a bad review yet.

I am very tempted by the middle of the range one. It's a good price and it sounds like a cracking road bike. I'm not sure I need the extras you get with the RS model and I prefer the colour schemes on the R.

The only downside is that they're not out until May.

That said, those who want a new Street are likely to go for the RS as it's got all of the bling and it's released early, so I might, possibly, be able to get a bit of a deal.

I'll know after I have a chat with Birmingham Triumph on Saturday.

If I was in the position to buy a road bike I'd look at one of the RS.. I may be suprised by the torque and power. I'd like to be proven that 120bhp is enough :)

I'm tempted to pop down to my local triumph dealer (when it's open) and see what 675 stock they have. There will be some mega deals on the old one if the new one is so good.

The new base model is £8k s they can't charge anymore than that IMO.

They're doing the blinged up 675 anniversary models for just under £8k

This new one is £7,500 plus £600 worth of extras. I reckon you could throw away the voucher and get the bike for close to £7k

Loads of bargains already on Autotrader.

Those are bargains IMO.

£6 odd grand for a new one - cancelled order :D £7k for an R - sounds good to me. I love the dash of the new one, but frankly i don't spend too much time looking at the dash once underway so could be a good time for a deal. When the weather improves and i have a minute i might run the KTM over there and see what they can do.

I feel a bit sorry for them on 675cc. They're all desperate for a 765 Daytona.

So much so they're talking about putting a new street engine in the 675 model.

A lot of work. You'd be better buying a street and trying to fit the fairings. Isn't the chassis of the old street / daytona and the new street almost the same apart from geometry?

At least the stickers wont need changing, just swop the numbers around :D

Hold on tight!!!!!

My speed struggles to get to 150, so thats pretty good. In fact anything after 120 on the speed is pretty lazy, that looked a lot quicker.

Holding on over 120mph on a naked is hard enough,

IT looks like a whole lot of bike for the money. You could tour, commute and track day on it.

Not sure I would want to tour on a naked bike. The wind blast would get pretty tiring after a while.

I'd certainly prefer touring on that to my Ninja... that thing hurts after 10 minutes on the motorway.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with running a taller rear tyre, raised rearsets and a 5mm shim in the shock (wasntme)

I found my zx6r to be relatively comfortable for a sportsbike. I didn't mind putting in the miles on it.

Mine kills me.. anything less than 90% riding and my back gets extremely sore. The only 2 ways I would manage touring Europe on it would be by riding flat out or by having a tank bag to lie on

I did just over 3200 kms in 11 days on the Pikes Peak Multi in NZ and had expected to be as you said, buggered from wind blast, but in the end that was barely an issue compared to what those kms would've felt like on my fully faired D6.

Though I guess you can say the Multi isn't truly a naked.
