Re: What are you doing today ??
Finished nightshift and got in bed at 730am after being up for 36 hours straight.
I then got woken up 3 hours later at 1030am and spent all day upto 5pm trying to get the house sale to go through.
Didn't happen and now I've got a full 12 hr nightshift ahead of me.

Went for a mooch around town with the Mrs and boy earlier, stopped for a coffee at a nice place we've never been in before. Got home and took the dog up the woods and now just contemplating taking my bike to be remapped ready for my scrambler exhaust to be fitted.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Been to watch the footy this morning. 3-1 to the other team. It's the girls footy I used to coach and they had some cracking goals. One was a corner nearside and the girl jumped up and headed it into the far side top corner and one goal was again from a corner headed out of the box and the striker did a half volley in to top right hand corner. Some of the plays they did were brilliant, still a strong side even after a few years. Just to think they started off as a shambles before me and my mate and we managed to get them to start talking to one another, get their heads up and win the cup and league, clearly they have gone from strength to strength. Afterwards we to do the food shopping which was good at least then I won't have to do it tomorrow. Came home and did the cleaning and started to do the clothes washing.
I'm hoping the weather will stay dry in the morning so I can pop out on the bike...we shall see!!

Fwiw I assumed he had slipped away already Darren, as it was almost three years ago that you told us he was on his way out.D41 wrote:Hmmmm....got a text last night to say me dear old Dad has about 3 weeks left...then another about 30 minutes later to say. "Whoops....we meant 3 DAYS".

Re: What are you doing today ??
Has it been that long???
I'm "OK with it"....last year I was told he'd passed....and then it turned out it was the lad who lived next door to me.....our names our similar, crossed wires etc.....he's 88 so you can't complain. He did absolutely anything he set his mind too...and usually very well if not exceptionally well....but his decline in health that comes with age has not been pretty....last time I talked to him he didn't know who I was....or at least he 'claimed' he didn't...which, all things considered was probably a pretty shrewd move on his part.
I'm fairly numb about the whole thing to be honest....I already went "through it" as-it-were.
