Been out on the bike
Washed it
Did some ironing
Walked the dog
Then later on I'm meeting Beermonster for some beers.

Working from home. Trying to get my head around over 20 medical reports from experts in various fields dealing with head injuries. I may need their services at the end of today.

Was waiting at the lift this morning on the way to the pool with the missus and 2 boys.
At least 6 doors up from the lift you could hear a couple shagging. This is 10am.
My 9 year old turned to me and said their having a party Dad. Me and the missus looked at each other and said yeah that's definitely what's going on son.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Got up at 4am and drove 230 miles to work, the parcel containing the plug in diagnostic equipment I need turns up 15mins after I arrive, great! Until I opened the box to find a compression tester - completely not what I need for talking to a electronic transmission. In fairness, it's in a similar coloured box to the diag kit, although it's got "Compression Tester" in big F.O. letters written on it. Oh, and it's my line manager that screwed up and is heading for a #1 ass reaming. Turned round and drove home. What a waste of a day.

Heading home after spending a lovely weekend in London with my niece
Really nice to see her and the confident young woman she has become since leaving home for the big smoke.

I would like to say NOT this as it's been ground hog day for weeks now, and my head is clearly hurting from it all.
I'm on the train at the moment. I believe it can reach speeds of 125mph. If there is a God the train will crash, I won't survive and the 5 month housing buying agony will end

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'm loosing faith we will get their tbh Rossgo and being equally honest I'm not sure I want to continue with these people in any case. I would have pulled out yesterday but my wife insisted we hang in a little longer. However saying that the builder has now set a deadline to Exchange or it will all fall through anyway. I obviously don't want to loose money but equally there will be some comfort the buyer has also and that with hindsight he will realise it was through his own stupidity.
You can't work with liars and people who keep changing their mind or moving the goal posts.
My buyer is irrational and badly advised by a cheap solicitor who doesn't actually understand some of the basics of conveyancing. I'm not making that up some standard practices have had to be explained to a legal professional on multiple ocassions and they still don't understand basic elements of their profession.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Another day of arguing with my house buyer only to be no further forward, actualy maybe further backwards by the end of it
To top it off 5 minutes after hearing that bad news from my solicitor I arrive in London to a Security alert on the tube. The line I need is closed. I have 40 minutes to make my connection or face £100+ to buy another ticket
I seek advice from a Tube member of staff on which of the open tube stations would get me to Liverpool Street quickest. Im given the wrong directions so arrive at wrong station.
I then ran to the correct station in a thermal coat. I arrive and its rush hour, grid lock and 3 tube lines are closed due to the security incident so every man and his dog is on same train and people are pushing and fighting everywhere.
I continue to run for my train and get there with seconds to spare. Im absolutely piss wet through from head to toe in sweat. My lovely thermal coat is dripping it's that wet. People are starring at me very weirdly I presume as they must think Im having a heart attack. I have No food. No drink and no seat and not eaten since 11am.
It was my wife's birthday today and that wasn't the success it should have been due to all the house buying stress.
Apart from all that and the sweat from my coat in the overhead luggage compartment dripping on my head it's been an absolute belter of a successful day and I'm glad to be alive experiencing all this overwhelming joy
In a fit off excitement and elation I will now be proceeding to physically self harm myself as a treat for having such a successful day lucky lucky bastard me
