Surely not killing the c-nut is self control, giving him a good pommeling is just karma?

I'm waiting for him to move up a grade then he'll get pummelled by two brothers who go. They train all the time. I can't get anywhere near them.

It's a bit uncomfortable this morning, but only to be expected. Rather than mud last night the ground was frozen solid, lots complained of rolled ankles.

Will see how bad it is in about 40 mins when I start cycling to work.
There must be nothing left of you with all this exercise! Good work fella.
Pffft, I wish..

Doesn't matter how much I run and cycle I still can't get rid of the tummy.

I think my love of wine, beer, curry, and bacon doesn't help (blush)

The gym was rammed tonight. I couldn't see any room in the free weights section.

I did a mix of seated machines, trap work on the Smith and used the trap bar. I got a decent all round work out.

I haven't been this week, I twatted my knee on Sunday and am not up to squatting or deadlifting.
I'll save myself for Thursdays fitness test!

Mostly back tonight, including deadlifts, romanian deadlifts, bent over rows, lat pull downs, cable pulls and pull ups

But, tonights boredom was much relieved by the absolute fitty who seemed to be playing to an audience in the free weights section. She was about 6 foot in front of me, doing a very weird exercise with the bicep curl bar. It was like a cross between deadlifts and arm curls. But the exercise isn't important. As she bent down to pick up the weight (legs apart) her very tight light grey yoga pants let you see her kitty yawning each time she stretched. The bloke next to me started laughing when I nodded my head towards what was going on.

Uni assignment completed and handed in yesterday which meant I could go to the gym today !!! (12:00 finish on a Friday)

I did a complete upper body workout (minus core)

- Incline dumbbell crush press (upper inner chest)
- Decline wide grip cable 'press' (lower outer chest)
- Single arm Arnold press (anterior deltoid)
- Lateral raises (medial deltoid)
- Cable pulls (posterior deltoid)
- Wide grip pull ups (lats)
- Seated row (traps)
- Single arm tricep extensions
- Concentrated bicep curl

Took just over an hour doing 5x5 on each of the exercises.

Essentially I focused on doing 1 exercise for each muscle I wanted to work out

Boxercise was good. I need to be doing circuit work again but I can pace this to make sure I don't get the headaches I've had in the past.

Just over 6 miles trail, not my finest running as was trying to find some good task routes round the village.

Only got lost once, the trail ended and I went of into the woods when I probably should have turned round.

Spent the afternoon in bed eating chocolate brazils and drinking beer if that can be counted as sporty (giggle)

Got to love coming of night shift (drunk) (swear) :@

Thursday saw the annual fitness test make its all-too-soon reappearance.

Despite me knowing about it for a few months, training has been...well, it hasn't really. Getting back on the weights for a fortnight is not enough to make up for 2.5 months of doing nothing and a lifetime of eating crap!

Anyways, despite my trepidation I passed. As I crossed the line at the end I realised I wasn't in any danger of failing, but I was mighty glad when I could stop. I've definitely confirmed it's a mental thing, if the lesser spotted wobbly-bellied sparrow-legged lazy sod writing this can do it with no real cardio to speak of all year, anyone can with the right mindset.

That being said however, I'm not doing another post-Christmas fitness test. I'll bring up my fitness throughout this year and get one done in October/November time.

Yes, but I also appear to be getting fatter as I get older.

I left Airforce the day after I turned 30 so never got the benefit of my extra minute for the 2 mile run test. That said my slowest was 12 mins with a bung ankle, and the pass mark was 15 mins.

I don't reckon I'd pass it in my current state.

Lost 4.5 pounds last week with a combination of the fake famine diet and upping the running to prepare for March's half marathon.

That's good going mate. I haven't signed up for a spring half yet, the farce at reading last year and the hike in entry fee had put me off.

New instructor tonight at taekwondo as our usual instructor is training those going for their black belts.

This guy is very technical. I really enjoyed it as he walked through each kick in minute detail. I was doing spinning jump back kicks by the end of the night. Which looked great until I kicked my wife in the arm. She hadn't clocked how much distance I was covering so misjudged where to have the pad.

My foot hurts.
