Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I did not do an add sorry. A guy on a forum put a wanted add up for a bike and i responded.
It had decent history
Rear sets
Stainless pipes
air filter
Braided lines
renthal clipons
recent top end rebuild
Forks had been serviced
Needed some little bits of tidying. The body works was original but a bit ruff I gave him a set of race body work a a couple of spares i did not need and sold it for £2500. I could have got a bit more but it was a no mess sale so took the opportunity.

Someone looking for what you're selling is the best sale, good bargaining position and less chance of them getting cold feet in my experience.

Added a 'Fenda extanda' as the rad is getting road shoite flicked all over it.
While I was putting it back on, it struck me that the right hand down pipe was missing a certain...je ne sais quois; so I decided to lean my textile jacket clad arm on it.
The patina is coming along nicely...

Fck that.. if it burns that quickly that's potentially dangerous to crash in.. friction > heat > melty melty fabric into skin

It was in there a good 15 seconds or so as the the front mudguard screw was a tw@ to get at. Didn't realise until I felt a nice warmth on my arm.

Ben there done that,, bloody nightmare, I ended up cutting some old textiles and made a patch and stuck it on with super glue.TonyB wrote:Added a 'Fenda extanda' as the rad is getting road shoite flicked all over it.

As for the pipes, I like dukes idea, but I took some off with a knife, very carefully.. mainly the chunkier bits that were stuck on. used duct tape around the area to protect the pipe from the slip which I knew I would do at some point during the process. The pipe was cold of course for this bit.

I've just cleaned the down pipe. Came off no problem. Ran it till it was hot, scraped the worst off with a Stanley blade then blasted the rest of it with WD40 and scotch brite. Smokin'!

Bloody cold this morning. There's a dry wind which seems to cut straight through you.
