Watched The Godfather pt1 last night, I haven't seen it for a while and had forgotten just what a brilliant piece of cinema that is, fwiw it still stands up today and Pacino's on screen persona is magnetic. 10/10

+1....The scene where Pacino starts to plan killing the Police chief and everyone ends up laughing at him is one of the best movie scenes ever put on film.

Re: What you watching?
There was a good documentary last night about the Trump family. How Donald's grandfather left Germany and went to the States, made some money, went back to Germany, got kicked out and then returned to the US.
Lots of decent background information on how Donald's father made his money, got in trouble for it and how Donald ended up running the Trump empire because his older brother was too soft hearted.

Re: What you watching?
We watched Spies yesterday. Very good. Totally different to the SAS program on channel 4. They are looking for totally different type of people. It's great to see to be honest as not everyone can do anything regardless of what we think. We all have our special skills and our own thought processes and you do wonder what would I do...I think I would be the same as the guy who managed to go to the wrong train station for his mission!! (Anyone who had rode with me will understand this )

Rogue One - this is the film we were meant to see last week till I spoiled it.
Great film, we thoroughly enjoyed it, plus Min Gee and I were swapping our "Nod" spots as we saw them. Fwiw Kwacky's brief of the film was spot on.
P.S. Also loved seeing Peter Cushing again - albeit compgen style.

Ironically that ^ "unpredictable talent" may give you the edge on a Escape & Evasion exercise.Rossgo wrote:........I think I would be the same as the guy who managed to go to the wrong train station for his mission!! (Anyone who had rode with me will understand this )
