Ride it round to a tyre factors that does truck stuff and bung a fiver in their tea fund, their impact guns will handle in excess of 2000nm. (Your MT workshop should sort this for half a slab of beer)
Shame you're not down my way Itchy, I've got a Milwaukee 3/4 drive gun that'll piss that in the van.

Is there any concerns on the gearbox applying that high load through the drive gears?

Almost dropped it when I put my foot down on some ice.
It's cold out there this morning. I had my TS fleece on over my textiles and I was still cold.

Monty knows the struggle...
It took me a 1.5m scaffold bar on the end of an Impact socket and 3/4inch break bar. I was putting all my weight onto the bike with the front and rear brake on and a plank of wood wrapped in a rag between the swingarm and wheel. It took a mate to turn the bar 90 degrees before it finally snapped and sent him flying.
It took almost all his force and we reckon it was over 800Nm to shift the facker....

Well back from CJS and the ride back was a revelation, seems to be sharper and smoother and the control at low revs is astounding was there for about 4 hours while he weaved his magic with the ECU, peaked at 146.87 bhp.
He said he used to get about 150 out of the pre skyhook models but can't with the skyhook for some reason.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I wasn't bothered about any extra power I just needed the bike to be smoother, since I de chatted it has been really lumpy at low revs especially trying to pull away where it bogged down terribly.Kwacky wrote:146bhp well delivered is nothing to be sneered at.
Lovely and smooth now and it doesn't pop and bang constantly any more either.

I'd be upset if I lost all the pops and bangs. I think they add character lol.kingfixer wrote: Lovely and smooth now and it doesn't pop and bang constantly any more either.

Its still pops etc on the overrun which is great, but it was constantly popping and banging all the time which was getting on my nervesDaytonAndy wrote:I'd be upset if I lost all the pops and bangs. Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Replaced the rear tension bar as the old one was rusting. It's been battered by the weather and road salt.
Replaced the rear brake fluid pot for a rizoma copy.
I was going to replace the rear brake line but there's a line holder on the inside of the swingwarm I can't get to unless I remove the rear wheel, so I'm going to leave that. I'll get it done at the next service.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Got the bike out this afternoon for a little blip, popped into Bulldog see whats new.... Nothing none of the new bikes until March/April.
All was going well on mainly dry roads, then hit a back road I like, it was it had just had a mega snow fall on it!!!!! paddled my way through and was back on it again lol. Bike needs a right wash now, but it was worth it.

Still looks good for the bike built from the "bits Rocket didn't need"

Covered it in white crud. Lord knows what they're putting on the roads but the bike looks a mess.

I was on the road late last night and it seems to be that sticky salt solution they use more than standard salty stuff now - sticks to the windscreen too!

The Gold wheels actually look far better than my OE black ones.
Don't suppose you have a link to your advert do you mate ????
-As I'd really like to make a comparison (to get a feel for the current value of my little rusting investment ).
