Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
I've been put off by Triumphs in general, not the speed triple. I've had 3 and 2 have been lemons. But the last one was 10 years ago and I did love my speed triple. Great engines.

That's what I'm bearing in mind when I look at the new speed triple

The new one has a cracking write up in Pb magazine this month. Nearly as quick round Mallory as the Tuono V4.

You're right...it has indeed been 10 years...how the time flies!!! I remember the Toxic Green bike...I have a bike the very same colour. I always liked those Triples...but of the two people I know who had them they both went bang.

Triumph later admitted there was a problem with part of the engine (I can't remember what). But that was long after mine went pop.

I'd seriously consider the R with that power and spec. They start at £8k so will be interesting to see pricing.

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
They sound good on paper
If the basic is £8k they can't really sell the RS for any more than £9.5k otherwise you're getting too close to the 1050 speed triple price. You can stiill get the 94 model S3 for £9k although the current model is supposed to retail at £11,900

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
But I'm so busy with domestics and kids (24 hrs a day with school hol's atm) I get all my news from Tankslap!!Cav wrote:Easy solution... lets ask Kiwi seeing as he lives in the future !!!
I actually watched the news on TV for the first time this year last night while cooking dinner. Fecking depressing!
