Megan just made mince pies. Had one straight from the oven. Burnt my tongue on what can only be described as festive lava. Nice though.

Yesterday was MiL's birthday, plus Midi Gee and family were over at ours doing presents etc, so we made an old fashioned full blown curry lunch for all eight of us, with Korma, Rogan Josh and Dhansak, a couple of different naans, plain basmati, poppadoms and all the pickles, chutneys and fruits etc. We all had a great meal and ate way too much, even my 18 month old grandson was getting stuck into korma, rice and naan with some cucumber on the side. Good atmosphere at the table too, it had that happy buzz that sometimes happens at big family meals.

Back to bacon sandwiches this morning though. ;)

Ham carved thick off the bone, fresh baked rolls, salad and a big dollop of piccalilli. The taste of post-Crimbo as long as I remember. :P
