It seemed rather strange riding in the daylight, I've not done it for a while.

I can barely see my bike. I unloaded the camper trailer so I could get in and do the wiring and all the stuff is stacked around my bike.
Kids are on school holidays till I go back to work so the ride Jess and I had on Saturday will be the only ride this break by the looks.

Almost had a blue on blue on the way home. Filtering through traffic and a car coming up to my right cut across t the left so I moved to the right to go round it. A bike in the other lane (3 lane road) and he cut across to his left. We spotted each other, I was ahead of him so he stopped and waved me through.

Yeah, there was frost on the roads this morning.
Those 01s seem to cope with the cold ok.

Yes, I am very happy with paying that bit extra and getting the increased confidence in poor conditions.

D6, did you go to work yesterday?
I took the car. I'm glad I did. On the way home the wind and rain was so bad I had to pull over. I wouldn't have lasted on the bike.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Today me and my dad went to a place called Alresford Watercress railway line. Around 85 mile all in.
I was riding my dad's for most of it but I couldn't help but notice a huge bird (maybe a kite but u thought it looked bigger than that) fly up from the ground and sore along with me, I was only doing a low speed and it felt like he was following me even if it was for a second or two, it felt a lot longer, it was so big right next to me with a lovely view of the countryside beside us.
I think that was what topped the day off. Christmas Eve bike ride with dad, watched a steam train pull in and had that moment! Maybe I'm just over thinking it!!
Anyway a few pics of the train and station

Took the Multi out for a thrash. Quiet and relatively dry roads.

Washed the textile jacket I use for commuting.
I've now got to remember how to get the armour and padding back in it.

Snow foamed then shampooed the bike. It was filthy literally had mud fall off onto the floor. Looks a lot better now but it's got no ACF50 on it so will have to go through it and spray a bit on. I also took her out for a quick spin around the block but came back with grit on her so decided to give it a quick spray down again! As a result the street is now an ice skating rink! Whoops!!

I cant right now mate I have done my back, I cant move, plus riding in this weather not ideal, especially in Oxfordshire, seems the icy roads are not getting the attention they need.Kwacky wrote:we should have sorted out a Stow breakfast meet.
