Nope not yet, just says "Preparing for dispatch" when I log on to amazon.

I owe you a pint if they do!
Fingers crossed buddy. Keep us updated Image

Could this be one of those places that doesn't hardly keep any stock on hand, and then just orders it themselves when you (or someone else) places an order???

You might be onto something there D, practically everything in their shop is listed as "Only one left in stock - order soon"

I doubt they'll find anyone prepared to sell them a helmet at that price.

About 10 months ago I was pricing up a new air filter for my Vito. I tend to use Amazon rather than Fleabay for such items because the way they conduct their business virtually eliminates the possibility of them being counterfeit.
Anyway, when I had selected my ( Bosch ) the banner below that pushes other products for the same vehicle had a listing for a pair of Brembo front Brake Disks for £ 19.50 + free postage. Now I had literally just brought some new pads, and whilst my old ones were beautifully smooth at 240k miles I had checked them at the time & they were over 0.5mm thinner than the specified min'.
I had decided that for the mileage I cover I wouldn't bother changing them, and with my new pads & the reworking I'd done on the calipers it stopped perfectly anyway.
The £ 19.50 "may" have influenced my re-examination of that decision.
Order placed I sat back & waited for the "sorry we can't supply, so you will be refunded" message.
I was quite looking forward to a little legal wrangling.
So I was almost disappointed when a couple of days later I got a message that said that the supplier was out of stock, so there may be some delay in supplying the goods.
They offered a choice of cancelling my order or waiting.
I checked the advert again, and the price had been altered to around £ 100.
I politely replied that I would wait.
A short time later my new Brembo Disks were delivered.

I do hope that Monty's outcome is as positive as mine was.

240,000 miles from a set of brake discs is pretty impressive.

Perhaps we've find out why you crash (devil)

I'm tempting fate by replying with this, but I've never had a crash in my ( or any) van. I mostly save my crashing for two wheels. ;)

Fwiw I can't even take credit for the longevity of the OEM ones, as it had already done almost 215k when I got it.

So..... is it likely in that 215K prior to you owning it someone actually replaced the brake pads with OEM replacements? :?

I should expect it would have been through dozens of sets of pads Kiwi.?
However the vented discs themselves measured around 24.3mm thick & had a pronounced lip on the outer edge. The new Brembo ones measured 28.03mm & had a chamfer on the outer edge. My presumption therefore is that the ones I removed were probably the OE ones.?

Excuse my numpty night shift mind and lack of reading comprehension St Marks.. I thought you were trying to say it had done that distance on a set of OEM pads.. (blush)

Isn't it just standard 'loss-leader' sales practice to do this stuff?? They do it all the time for the after-Xmas sales, at car dealerships, etc.

"Thanks for looking at our site....sorry the item you wanted is out of stock, but check out our other cool stuff while you're here!!"

That actually makes me feel slightly guilty... (blush)

Are you going to bother trying to argue the toss ? ( it does sound rather like it would be a lost cause though ).
