Very happily, it would fit in my Vito no problem.
However it's about 1.5 hrs south of Birmingham, & I'm about 2.5 hours north east of you.
So a round trip of over 400 miles, minimum. Not exactly the most logical approach.?

It's a nice bike and I'm tempted but I'm in no rush. Sales are slow this time of year and will be for a 2 or 3 months so I can wait to see what else comes up.

What is it you don't like about twins? After the Multi I'm a full on convert. Nothing better for the road than a large capacity twin imo.

Though my only experience is 250 two strokes, single cylinder 4 strokes, the D6 and the Multi. So rather limited on the road.

I like to rev a bike.

I've ridden a wide range of parallel and v twins over the years including 996s, SP2, RSV-Rs s and RC8s to SV650s, ER6s and KTM SuperDuke. I just don't get on with them.

Triples are my preference for the road.

It's the MASSIVE engine braking that doesn't cut it for me on twins....not just for when you actually want to slow down, but for anything at all. It takes a level of commitment you might not want on a road you've never ridden before.

Same with a quick-action throttle, for that matter....works great on the track, but is about as much use as a chocolate ashtray as far as road-riding is concerned.....too much of an on/off switch.

You can dial engine braking in and out now on the latest twins but it's nothing like it used to be as most are much revvier in nature now.

I like the engine braking on a twin - i barely brake with the lever tbh and it helps me flow into corners without upsetting the balance of the bike too much.

As has been said, it's personal preference.

Fwiw I find the engine braking on my little triple has the back wheel hopping & a skipping along behind me. I try to feather my clutch, to help control this, but on a wet track it just seems to make the breakaway point less predictable.

Whilst I still think the above bike that Monty spotted reflects Kwacky beautifully, if you like triples have you ridden on of the last generation Daytonas.? They were a technical improvement & improved ride over their prettier older sister.

Sounds like the bike you were riding needed a slipper clutch OR you were using the rear brake and locking it up

And like CAV said the slipper on the Multi eliminates all the issues St Marks mentioned.

I'm way smoother on the Multi than the triumph.

The zx6r has a slipper as standard, the SX doesn't (although I think the 2017 one does)

I sent a couple of emails off yesterday making initial enquiries. One company said they would get back to me, the other hasn't responded.

I find it amazing how some sales people seem to have so little idea about how their behaviour can influence wether they get a sale or not.

The last model of the Daytona does actually have as slipper clutch as std, one of many technical improvements that were made to improve it's ride.
However mine is the 1st generation, and whilst many racers retrospectively fit slippers I'm not in that league. Fwiw Cav I'd normally never use the rear brake on track, the engine braking is more than adequate (as mentioned).

Any company is only as good as the one person you deal with. From what I have seen of sales environments it is often the less proactive & industrious members of the team who carve themselves out a little niche of dealing with the electronic enquiries, whilst the eager & helpful ones are "too busy to sit down & waste that time". -You want something doing, you ask the busy man.
