I had a quick release fuel cap on the zx6r.

I left it on the side of a petrol pump in Coventry and rode all the way home before I noticed (blush)

After that I would take my glove off, put it on the bike and then put the cap on the glove so I didn't forget it.

Don't laugh at me, I'm old :(

Kwacky that's made me pee myself! How didn't I know this story

Totally agree with the reflection, you doing that day in day out and not small mileage as well A LOT of respect to you. When you add moron drivers into the mix...well i guess it's interesting!!

Cav, training has definitely helped me IPSGA is a great system. Definitely ride so you can stop safely within the distance you can see to be clear on your side of the road. Ride by that and you shouldn't go too wrong

I did the same thing as Kwacky...left it somewhere but realised really quickly. Cabled mine to the tank surround thing afterward.

TBH, I think the quick release cap was WAY more bother than it was worth....breather hose issues, could never see how much fuel was in there, etc.

Took the bike to get the pin reset.

5 mins work, minimum 30 min labour charge policy..... $72.00 later!! (gah)

The weather for the ride was a bit average too as you can see

Put the traction control up to 3. I had a couple of patches of ice to deal with this morning. This could be a cold winter.

Gave the SX a quick wash, chain lube and top up of ACF50. that's the first time I've washed the bike since the scrub it got a few weeks ago. Looks good.

The renthal chain is doing a good job. Done about 3000 miles and still doesn't need adjusting. It didn't need much cleaning either.

Today did a 120 mile trip with the IAM guys. We found a few roads that had flooded and had to take it real easy through them also some real muddy leafy roads where a couple of the riders skidded the rear end in front of me luckily not coming off.We had an old boy with us who was on a Thurxton it sounded lovely. He was clearly enjoying himself today with his leathers on and his Jean jacket branded with loads of badges all over it think he has been in the game for quite some time! After all that my bike is desperate for a clean but it won't get anything now until the new year it's got ACF50 caked all over it should be good until new year I guese

Sounds like a great day mate. It's been wet enough recently that it's unlikely any salt remained to lay on your bike, & they'll be out gritting from about now so you've probably timed it about right IMO.
