Bargain Puma vented race boots.

Post by duke63 »

A bit of a brash colour but an absolute steal at the price.

Good price, but didn't Puma have an issue with the ankle pivot screw falling out and getting lost?

No, the screw to come out would be the one at the back of the boot. Or it did with me.

'Space 1999' returns!!!!

Bet they're an absolute PITA to keep clean. I like 'em, but I don't think I'd want them to be my only boots.

Yeah. I had a badly swollen ankle but I could still walk on it and I've had no issues with that ankle since. They're designed to stop your ankle from snapping back. Comfortable boots as well as secure.

Let me know when you get them, there's a knack to taking them off.

Think there is a version 4 out already so guessing ther just the remaining stock that there shifting on don't bother me as long as they fit ok and are a good boot

There was a post a long time ago on 675.cc from an ambulance worker who listed the most important features in a motorbike boot and why. The puma and Alpinestars supertech R were the two he recommended.

Weren't the Puma boots the ones designed with input from one of the treating MotoGP orthopaedic surgeons?

I believe so....at least, that certainly rings a bell. Puma were jumping in at the deep end, and wanted a top-notch product from the get-go....& so on.

Plus they're very comfy.
