We got back home late on Saturday. The flight from Tokyo was delayed, the flight from Helsinki was late, then went tech, then they found another plane so it was all a bit manic moving in and out of the gate and on and off then back on the bus to get to the flight. At Heathrow they lost our car, when we finally got it there were roadworks outside the airport which I got caught in. The air in the car was blue. Got home about 10pm on Saturday,
after getting up at 6.30am in Tokyo, which was 8 hours ahead. A long day with little sleep.
Yesterday was a wash out with the family all waking up at different times, with my son being the first up at 3am
Most of yesterday was spent washing and shopping and doing the usual mundane crap that's needed following time away.
I loved Tokyo, It's mental but in an organised, polite and civil way. It's very busy ,but no one bumps into you. The trains and metro are crowded, but people form a queue to get on and wait for the people to get off before making their move.
I'm keen to go back and would want to see some more of Japan next time. From what I saw when we were on the train it's a beautiful country.
Photos to follow, when I get time.
