Would they not honour the original Quote Nutz ?
Annoyingly I was reading somewhere insurance premiums had rose on average by 77%

I've just renewed too Rossgo.D6Nutz wrote:That's nothing. When I changed the policy over to the BMW I tried to do it all online. How can a price go up by 30quid in just over a month!!?!! They are all greedy bastards
Did the usual Go Compare the Meercats etc..
Managed to get down to the same premium as last year, by moving.
However,,,
Apparently Deany had another "little bump" that she had "forgotten" to mention, so I was unaware of when supplying history details.
The new insurance company were aware though.
They charged me an extra £ 3,41 on each policy for the increased risk (Deany was hit when stationary, & our vehicle was apparently "undamaged"). They also charged me an extra £15 on each policy for the administration of altering the policys.
That £36 was pretty much exactly how much my premiums had gone up by in the first place

Oh no!! They are t&#ts aren't they. When they charge these administration costs all they do is press delete and type in whatever new info it is they need so that 15quid is prob the easiest 15quid anyone could ever make! But we are screwed without it and they know it! They have us by the balls and there's nothing we can do about itStMarks wrote:I've just renewed too Rossgo.D6Nutz wrote:That's nothing. Been with my partners brother playing in the new Playstation VR (Virtual Reality). It is amazing it will be class for first person shoot 'em ups like Call Of Duty...however I do fear for the younger generation who will be brought up on this type of technology and how realistic it all is. I don't usually say games can ruin a person but this VR is a high contender for doing so

I did see a funny video the other day of a guy playing a climbing game on VR. He got that into it he lost his balance and fell flat on his face!

I watched that video as well it made me laugh so much! It does make you feel like you are part of the character. The graphics aren't quite there yet feels a bit sloppy however the technology is brilliant and I'm sure this won't just be a phase like most of these things. I recogn Playstation will invest more and more into it and make it better and better. Give it 10 years and I think the whole idea of gaming will be changing.Itchy wrote:I did see a funny video the other day of a guy playing a climbing game on VR. Re: What are you doing today ??
Enjoying the rural peace and quiet of Wales for a week, but over the weekend we've slept like logs, went to watch a local game of rugby (with obligatory punch ups), had Sunday lunch at a local pub (bit average tbh), and been out walking and exploring - including crossing a river using v sketchy stepping stones, fortunately no one got wet.
Having a great time and glad I'm not at work after last Friday's nonsense.

Re: What are you doing today ??
The lack of sleep caught up with us and we didn't get up until 1pm. We've done very little today. We went to another expensive area of town to see the incredibly expensive shops. There is some serious money kicking around this place. For instance, if you want to buy a puppy, you'll need at least £4k in your pocket. A beer us about £4.
Back home, leaving the women to do the cooking, the kids to play games and me spamming the internet.

Had a phone call yesterday morning telling me my Mother had died suddenly.
We're now back in Essex and will begin the task of sorting everything out this morning, needless to say how myself and my family are feeling right now.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'd just like to say Thank You on behalf of our family to all the above posters, it's been a tough 36hrs but we are making progress, just waiting on the bureaucracy to make things happen now. The family have dug in and are pulling together thank goodness, our children are finding it very tough however, never easy losing a grandparent.....
