Last time I had organic cider I couldn't speak and weirdly wasn't too drunk, so I was very consciously aware of the loss of my ability to speak

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just completed my first assessment of a workplace competency as an assessor. I'd been trying to fly under the radar with my Training & Assessing Qual's, but they have had a couple of assessors leave and I got nobbled. You don't get paid any extra and it's in addition to your normal duties as well as trying to complete my own competencies. So it's not something you normally put your hand up for unless you get the Cert IV TAE paid for by the company to be able to assess. Unfortunately I'd already completed it myself prior to working here so I was an easy and cheap target for the role.

I got stuck on a rollercoaster! About 30 foot up in the air, dangling over the edge for about 20 - 25 minutes. Great for someone like me who isn't keen on heights.

Calculating Mass and Moments of our products by part number. From that I need to plot data to check we are correctly specifying our parts.
Issues with a particular part number are giving us reasons to believe there is something 'wrong' by design. Not a major issue but our yield is low

Getting rained on! First commute in heavy rain, probably not the last, but the wet gear held up very well.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Being amazed that I'm not incredibly hung over after last night's boozy shenanigans with the trainees that are about to graduate.
Much drink was drunk, several faces were slapped, I got 3 choke holds in and destroyed the lad who challenged me to an arm wrestle!
I also remember something about an incident with a hammer and a can of Stella, and someone took a high-speed cornish pasty to the bollocks as well.
Despite all the rough-housing I had a really good night with a group of lads who will mostly turn out to be a great bunch of Armourers.

Good to see the Gunnies training is continuing to all facets of life hasn't been a Sqn drinking session I've had that a Gunny didn't do something crazy.Itchy wrote:Being amazed that I'm not incredibly hung over after last night's boozy shenanigans with the trainees that are about to graduate.

Very little. I'm bored at work. I'm going to leave early today so I can get ready to head down to Heathrow tonight.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Spent over half my shift on the helideck assisting the helideck auditor (trying to get new certification for a new helicopter type). Had to do full foam testing of the fire fighting systems which caused me hours of clean up.
Got burnt to a crisp by the sun without even realising. Got a huge bright red v on my chest from the open part of my overalls.

Re: What are you doing today ??
That's nothing. When I changed the policy over to the BMW I tried to do it all online. The price the site gave was £30 extra, but then the site crashed and wouldn't let me carry on. 45 mins later the customer service lines opened and I called in, same info given and the price had gone up to £75 extra ffs!Rossgo wrote:Looking up car insurance prices.
