Nothing. My boss is out and he's left me no work to do. It's going to be a long day.

Flat out busy at the moment, and really enjoying the new contract.
The team is really good, even joining then for a beer after work again which I haven't done for years.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went for a look round the local cider companies "brewery" as they where having an open day. It really was nothing more than a press and a few plastic brewing barrels in a couple of farm out buildings.
It's good stuff though. Apparently the big producers in the UK chuck a load of sugar into the apple juice to kick start the fermentation, it then brews up to 14-15% and they then water it down for sale. These guys brew what they call "proper cider", nothing is added to the apple juice and it is brewed until it is ready and then bottled as is without watering it down...
I had to buy a few bottles, one of which will be opened shortly....

You really can tell the difference between proper cider and the mass stuff. It's night and day. You shouldn't get a hangover either, provided you don't go mental with it.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Agree there Kwacky, I live in the apple growing belt of NSW and as such there are a number of small batch cider breweries about. It always tastes much better than the mass produced stuff.Kwacky wrote:You really can tell the difference between proper cider and the mass stuff. It's night and day.
