The limited release bottle of Mr Black Panama Geisha that had gone missing in transit. Ref:vent thread.

I sent Jess up to check the chlorine levels in the pool as it's warming up and although it has auto dose it level is manually set. She got there and rang me and tells me the parcel is sitting on my doorstep. It was a registered parcel and being alcohol must be signed for by a person 18+, by law. There was a "we tried but you weren't home" card in the mailbox from the 4th so chances are the package has been there since then. Lucky I sent her up because I'm still over 2 weeks from being home!

Glad it's turned up though as I was a gutted when I thought I wouldnt be getting it.

Has someone in the delivery chain had a heavy hint about possible Police involvement etc and delivered it but with a backdated card?

Sorry but I'm just a cynical person - it comes from being lied to regularly by customers.

Possibly, I know the distributor was chasing them pretty hard. One of the problems is they use and online agent which contracts a courier who then farmed it out to yet another courier.

If I was an evil man I'd say it didn't turn up. No one signed for it so who's to say even if they prove they delivered it, someone didn't lift it from my front porch. But that would probably hurt the distributors before the couriers and my morals won't let me, but by god I was tempted.

You will be even more gutted when you get home from offshore and find Jess had her mates round and they drunk the lot. :D

Yep. The history of why they use the 4 leaf clover emblem is very interesting.

The postman has also been bringing bits and pieces for Mrs Itchy's birthday next week. I'm being a dick and leaving them all unopened but in plain sight. It's the utmost test of her willpower! (lol)

I did similar, I was out at work when I ordered pressies for Jess and had them sent to her house with instructions for no peaking :D She was well behaved, I couldn't have helped myself, I would've peaked for sure!
