I came through london today but only on a quick connection.

Not sure if still on but used to be bike Meet at Borough Market on a Wednesday if you have an hour to kill before heading home to family chaos. You could always say your train was delayed and you had a nightmare commute probably get the sympathy vote when you get in as well. Win Win haha
